The only chance you have of succeeding in the home based business arena is to employ a good marketing plan. The average person, planning to start a home business, has little if any knowledge on how to effectively market an internet business. With out a good marketing plan you will need very deep pockets. You should never enter into a business with out having a solid marketing plan. Take your time and do your research. It will be time well spent.

There are very few Home Business Opportunities that provide a solid and systematic way to promote your business. I highly recommend you do your do diligence and research before joining any business program you will need to use both free and paid advertising to market your business. The more free advertising you can find the more cost effective your marketing campaign will be.

Press Releases:

Press Releases are where newscasters go to find something to report. They sift through the releases looking for something that is worth their readers' attention. Google tends to pick up on press releases quickly, and you can often get in the top ten for a keyword on Google within hours of submitting a release. Try to write 3 press releases a week and make them sound professional and newsworthy.

Blogs

Establish a blog, if you don't have one yet, and publish quality content on it about 5 times a week. It doesn't have to be your own writing. Find a great article and link to it, write a comment on it, or include part of it in your blog. (Don't forget to give credit where credit is due.) Each time you update your blog, you'll want to submit it to the search engines by
